Growing up i always had a clear goal in mind.Study, get into a medical college and life will be sorted. But silly me never imagine what’s in store in that journey for me. Moving into a completely different place, between unknown people, a foreign language and totally different food habits i had to adapt was a struggle indeed. The transition from school to college life was a lil overwhelming for me. Nobody prepares you for the shift in your life when your parents won’t be your reminders, alarm clocks and the ones who will be there for you 24/7, especially when you’re ill. You have to be on your own and are forced to be independent, basically an “official adult”.There are certain things in life that cannot be taught but has to be developed on our own. And hence the saying” You cannot always pray away your problems “.My college life isn’t as fun or fancy as i thought it would be, maybe because the degree that I chose requires my attention and commitment above all else. And at the end of the day I do go to bed with an ounce of regret for not grabbing the opportunities presented my way .But I’m also glad I understood this fact now before its too late.
Stay tune for the next part….
